I've been carving for awhile and would like to try entering some competitons. I understand that Dollywood is the grand daddy of them all but where do I find info on different events? |

Many of the larger woodcarving shows have big competitions. Also, your State Fair is a good place to check out. Earlier this year, Fort Meyers, Florida show had their big one. I know that there is a huge show in Dayton Ohio, called Artistry In Wood and I bet they have a big competition. There is a large show coming up later this spring. Not sure which state it is in but it is refered to as "The World" which is probably short for the actual title. I bet a few carvers on the forum compete there. Shows and competitions are usually listed in the carving magazines also..... I bet Woodcarving Illustrated has a schedule printed in it for this year.
