Default Carvers-R-Us - Our Picturetrail Site

I notice a couple new postings on the PT site - maybe I missed the posts about them, but....anyway...

Mike, wonderful love spoons!! Thanks for pointing out the type of wood - it helps us 'novices' get a feel for what each will do.

And Mitch has posted some wonderful stuff, too!! I'm not sure who you are, Mitch, but you do great work!!

I hope nobody beats me up about this, but I'm going to change the albums on the site - their titles are a bit confusing and I 'think' I'm going to clean it up a bit.

Teri

Okay, I did it...made 'Category' albums and did my best to place all the pics in the right places. Sorry if I messed up on categorizing anyone's work...and PLEASE feel free to go in and move your stuff where you want it.

I hope I helped more than not.

Teri

Teri,
You did a great job it sure makes it a lot easier now to find what you are looking for in Picture Trail. I would just like to mention to the guests and new comers that if you want to view the pictures of some of the carvings posted by the members on this thread go to the Picture Trail web site, in the members log in area click on it the type in Carvers-r-us and then the password is carve. Thanks again Teri its nice to have you on line to keep everything straight.
Colin

Teri, I put the pictures in the Picturetrail site. I wanted to show some of my work as I have posted to Bob A. about how I started carving. Unfortunately, I few problems posting as I keep getting 'knocked' out of the web site and sometimes log as a guest. Thank you for the opportunity to show my work.

Mitch

Teri, great job! Much more intuitive now. I added my latest to the Caricature Album. It's from Debbie Barr's Caricature Woman book. I'm still learning, but it's getting there. Anyway, thanx for taking the initiative to straighten things up on the PT site.

Good job Teri. Looks real nice. 8)

Mitch- You do very nice work. Loved all your carvings. How long have you been carving? Did you take any classes or are you self-taught? Either way. Great job.

Thank you Makenchips. Have been carving overall for about 20 years - but only seriously for about 10. I have taken a few classes, but really have developed on my own before the classes. My classes have been with Tom Wolfe and Desiree Hajny. As a teenager I drew cartoons and even painted a few pictures. I do have quite a few books that give me ideas, but like to carve my own designs best. The fox is from a David Sabol book; the rest are my own. I still do not carve very often - mostly in 'non-golf season'. My main influence has been from caving buddies - I have friends that inspire me to carve more often. I just don't see them enough. Again, thanks - if you want to know anymore, just ask. I'll probaly ask a question or two of you soon!

Â* Â* Teri, great job, you are just way too organized woman!! Â*I see how you get so much carving done, you have everything set up and organized perfectly....I need to learn how to balance my time better (I'm still suspicious about that cloning thing though!) Â*Anyhow, thanks, you did a super job!!
Â* Â* Mitch, thanks for sharing your pictures, you do great work! Â*I'm jealous of your class with Desiree Hajny, I love her work!
Â* Â* Brian, terrific 'snacker'. Â*I met Debbie Barr last summer, she a great carver and is such a nice lady! Â*Callynne
