Don't live there, Sliver, but have spent a little time there years back. Much warmer than here in 'Da U.P.'

I live in Flagstaff, Az., about 150 Miles away, which is also about how far you will be from the Phoenix metro area, where I know there are some carving clubs. to say, I know of no carvers in my immediate area, with the exception of the Hopi Kachina carvers. I think it would be safe to say that they have a somewhat exclusive club, but it never hurts to check it out. I also know that one of the winners of Woodcrafts Santa carving contest, was from Winslow. Also a carver from Winslow was recently written up in the local paper www.azdailysun.com. He is in the process of carving an angel for RT. 66, to compliment a statue they have called 'Standing on a Corner' or something like that.
When you get there, send me an e-mail or something, I am just kind of carvin all by my lonesome, or maybe there really are other people chipping away close by. Time to start a club?????????????????????????????

These are the only listings I can find. Maybe if you contact them they could help you find someone closer.

I live in the Phoenix area and we have several clubs here. I dont know of one in kingman but i would contact John Peterson as mentioned in the last post or
Carl Neuscheler
(602) 938-2795

one of them may be able to point you in the right direction.
There is a show in Mesa on Feb. 15 , 16. maybe you will be here in time for that. It is the largest show of the year.
