Mover, theses are my best carved walnuts. The ones I posted earlier,I call them rough outs! They was old nuts and I like a newer crop of walnuts, that have prettier shells inside. You want them dry but not too dry.

Im gald you like theses, thanks for your thoughts here.

Forrest

Alan,I didnt live with my father nor my mother, raised by my grandmother but visiting my father I took it all in from just some of the things he could do. I have a baby shoe{mine} he'd bronzed. When my children get here in Sept, going to give them it plus alot of things,Ive saved.

Gald you liked theses walnut baskets.

Thanks Alan.

tnartist, now i got to find yet another source of walnuts,
being city raised and used to buying the nuts, to lazy to shell my own, will try yet another Forrest idea.
but since the nuts are out of season here, till the new crop ripen, will get a time of catching up with the other ideas to do,
some days i try to avoid looking at this site, because i know "I got try that" will hit me,
sure keep this ole man hustling,
thanks for the inspiration,
Sam

Forrest, very cool carvings.
I have three black walnut trees, might have to give this a try.
We've always used the walnuts in receipes........ brownies.....fudge......cake............ Gotta go, I'm gettin' hungry.

Thanks for sharing
Randy
