Default Carved Soft Ball

Id carved a baseball 2 years ago and a person saw it,wondering could I carve a softball? The softball was more difficult than carving the hard baseball but neither was a piece of cake.

It has 4 carvings in the ball, all are different.

The person that ordered it loved it when they got it,which made me proud that I did my best on the carvings.

Just another item I enjoyed trying to carve.

Hope you like it,Thks' Forrest

Pict,of my baseball in glass box,its carved on 4 sides also. I will save it plus the baseball bat Id carved for my grandson, they saw it last wk end when all my children came to visit.

Forrest,
Really neat. One of these days I hope to be able to carve wood as good as you carve everything that is not wood. Thanks for sharing.

Safe carving and God Bless,

everything that is not wood

Cork comes from wood Mark but I knew what you meant,I do carve alot of different things, every thing Ive posted on board here was carved out of wood.Alot of golf balls are carved and they are plastic/rubber,etc mixed inside with glue.If you look up what a golf ball is made of,most wont tell you, name brand ones for sure wont tell you anything!

Thanks Mark!!! Your ole Tn friend,Forrest

Mark, oak or walnut is easier!! Its the area you are cutting into in a baseball and softball that makes it so tough. The old ball bat I carved was even tougher, while ash wood plus keeping the items I carved in it right is hard do going around a round area of the bat.

Thanks Mark Im gald you liked the carved soft ball and baseball.

Your ole tn buddy,Forrest
