Default Carved Golf Ball~

I had been working on my shop this spring and build a wood shed on the back of it where my found wood could dry. We when on a trip down to Memphis to finally see my new grandson.{had only seen picts via-emails}
Before we left last month,the roof on my wood shed wasnt done,I had the rafters up but hadnt got to put the tin on it so I tacked a old tarp on it,course knowing my wood still might get wet!

We spent 3 days enjoying my children and all of the grand babies,really so neat.

Once we got back,oh yea it had rained some..I went to see just how wet my wood was? OHhhhhhhh Man,there was the tin roof on it! It took several sheets that I hadnt bought yet! HUMmmmmmmmmmm I dont know anyone that would have roofed my wood shed but it might be the neighbor behind me,seeing hes the only one I've talked too.

I went over to his home,knocked on his door,Hi Mr.Geene! You know or see anyone working on my wood shed while we was gone on our trip to Memphis?? He {{{smiled}} Well,no one but me! He had bought the tin and build the whole roof while I was gone.

I offered him money for the tin he'd bought and his time building the roof,NO! I wanted to do that for you! I have offered him money 3 times and he still wont take a dime! Hes a big golfer,every Sat.morning I can set my watch when he goes golfing! He knows I do art work,showed him a few times before.

I said,Mr Geene can I have one of your golf balls? Sure I will get you one....are you going to play golf now too? I dont think so I told him but just wanted one of your golf balls.

So this morning,Id seen where a few people on WCI had carved a golf ball and this is my 1st one---might be my last-LOL But this was very important to me and I gave it my best shot in carving and painting it, I mounted it on a cherry base I made for it.

I will take it to Mr. Greene tonight! Plus I noticed one time while standing inside his back door,his wife likes apples,kitchen art & craft things,so I will carve or paint her something soon also. They both are such nice people and haven some of my art work in their home would be a real pleasure for me to do for them!

Im sure no golfer but tried hard on this golf ball.

Your comments are more than welcome... Tn

Great detail and painting on the ball! Your neighbor will be really pleased with it. One of the best I have seen, or at the very least, one of the most detailed. Have carved a few, but mainly just faces. Thanks for sharing it.
