Default Carved Acorn's

Ive not carved any in awhile and today,thought Id try some acorns I picked up a while back,Id glued the hull on them earlier. You cant carved too deep or you will cut through the thin shell. The Maw & Paw are carved on one acorn,the un carved one was to show what the acorn looked like before carving.

Heres a old Paw and Maw,next one I carve I will plan it. Cut a heart in one area on this one but it wasnt planned.Where you see black,Id cut all the way through the shell.Their eyes are cut through also,the dark parts.{holes}

Just something to say I carved something and this coming week I will carve something besides some squirrel food. Guess I went nuts this past wk! lol

Thanks for looking,your thoughts are always welcome.

Forrest

Another excellent job on an unusual medium....I think that if you passed a kidney stone you would carve it! Great work, hang in there buddy.

Nice job. You got me. I was expecting wooden acorns. Vis-a-vis your deer, wait for a moose. You'll get three times as much raw material to work with.

Never would have thought of carving an acorn nice carving and painting. (did the deer hold still long enough to carve an antler?)
