If you put the federal government in charge of the Sahara Desert , in five years there'd be a shortage of sand.

Hi Jim, that was Gary Falin's article in WCI 25 and he painted the football player caricature in WCI 26.
Maybe if you looked at Steve Prescott's book "Carving Blockheads" , one is a football player, it would provide you with a pattern for a caricature and by just changing the colour combinations to match the NFL teams each son supports would provide 4 different caricatures or just different numbers or home and away sweater colour combinations if they all support the same team , it would at least ensure everyone got the same quality gift.Smile.
Then no one can say Daddy loves me better that you, ahh peace and harmony on christmas day.Smile

Just added a scan of the books cover, it's a Fox Chapel so I guess it's ok.Smile.

Cheers.

The CCA web site has pictures of different carvings by it's members under their profiles. Tom Brown has a caricature football player there. It's not a pattern, but it may give you some ideas.

I will try to post the picture here to make it a little easier. This is a caricature football player carved by Tom Brown from the CCA web site.
