after watching Lynns video and using " ol stan" 93 1/2 % of the time....this is what came out of the wood...still having trouble with the white balance on my camera...that is why there is a golden ..yellow tone on the carving.......the video really opened eyes to many new ways for me to carve...some hard for me ...some made it easier...I want to thank Lynn for all his ( also his honey ) Time trying to help us wanna be's better carvers. Ps..... got a picture of another one of my carving in new chip chats.....page 24 top left corner...it got first place at that show...and a second place in " the other carving magazine " win a cruise contest. Jim, That looks a lot like Lynn's work! I wood say you are a great carver also. Congratulations on making chip chats an the other magizine. What do u call those cartoons at the bottom of ur post? Anyways that guy isn't making any headway on his carving. He is likeable though! Carl |
