I saw a small article in WCI's Summer issue about Yam carving.....I've carved one and need some info on how to dry it?

I've carved a couple and when finished, looped a piece of sewing thread through the top and hung them on a hook in my work shop for a couple of weeks. The shop is heated and air conditioned and gets a moderate amount of sun light during the day - nothing special. Just be sure that they hang free without laying on or against anything so they can air dry all around. Bill (Aiken, SC) |

Are you still carving and, if so, do you have any photos of the yams you have carved?
