I've carved a couple and when finished, looped a piece of sewing thread through the top and hung them on a hook in my work shop for a couple of weeks. The shop is heated and air conditioned and gets a moderate amount of sun light during the day - nothing special. Just be sure that they hang free without laying on or against anything so they can air dry all around.

Are you still carving and, if so, do you have any photos of the yams you have carved?
