Default Caduceus Re-visited

I just finished making this for my best friend's wifes birthday. She's an RN.
6 1/2" X 7" X 1"
Basswood, BLO and spray lacquer.
I hope to be giving it to her in the next day or two.
This is the second one I've made. The other was for my sister who is also a nurse.

As always, comment and critique are welcome.
Thanks for looking.

Jim - You've done a wonderful job on this project. What's the size? (Oops, sorry. I see you noted the dimensions)Double sided?

Excellent Jim. I wonder if some light blowtorch work would add dimension to the feathers. I'm finishing an acanthus leaf myself and may try it on the leaflets.

Thank you everyone for the positive input!!
Phil, No it's not double sided. It's made to hang on a wall. The back of the serpents are carved in the back, but that's just so that it looks correct from the side.
