Default Cadbury Chocolate Lab

I made this for my sister to go with the bears I made her for her birthday. It's a kind of a caracature of her dog Cadbury. She's a chocolate lab that always has a tennis ball in her mouth. If I had a nickle for every time I threw the ball for that dog... Anyway I'm on my way now to give it to her. I'll let you know how she reacts.

As always, critique and comments welcome.
Thanks for looking,
Jim

Very nice. My sister wants me to carve her Lab, but I don't think I'm up to it yet. You did a good job on that.

Hi Jim,

Great job. How'd you get the tennis ball in it's mouth?

I'm certain the carving will be appreciated. Always nice to get something that has personal meaning behind it. Nicely done.

Thanks guys!
She loved it. She really loves Caddy, and this just makes her bears as happy as all get out. I done did good!!
Ron, the trick with Caddy is getting the ball out of her mouth, lol. She'll put it in front of you and then grab it again before you can get it. Eventually, after much coaksing, she'll leave it, but I have to put my foot on it first. She'll also put it in my lap if I say, "ya want me ta throw it?", a bunch of times. Lol.
Cannuck, I've heard of wax, but I don't know what to get. Right now, I'm using Minwax Woodfinish, golden pecan. It seals the wood and kind of antiques it.
Anyway, thanks for the support. Man, is woodcarving addictive, or what?! lol.
Jim
