When ever I talk with my neighbor (the woodsman) he always mentions the wifes butter tarts. I told him I'd like to try some sumach and some butternut. A couple days later the wife phoned him and said she had a dozen butter tarts for him. He landed at my door with the wood I had asked for. Here's 2 spoons made from some of the wood he brought me. Dang, I feel so sorry for you Yankees. Butter tarts are similar to a pecan pie, only they have walnuts and raisins in them and they are sweet as all get out. Anyway, thanks for the comments on my newest spoons. Cliff |

Buckcrazy, no this spoon is made from the sumach that has the red flowers, apparently it's OK from what I've red. Sure does have a nice grain when you get to carving it.. Thanks for the comments. Cliff |
