Default Busy bench.

As you can see by the attached pic, my bench isn't getting any clearer. It seems the more I do, the more I discover I want to do.

The penguin ornaments are to go along with the Santa's (Mark G's version) that I did, so wanted to have some variety. Chicadee's are for practice, am reading the book Songbird Carving by Muehlmatt, and following his instructions. The rabbit is another of the Peter Rabbit characters, Mr. Benjamin Bunny Senior, just making another as it is an interesting carve.

Finally did get to work on a ship last night, after I took these pics, so I hope to be able to show some progress soon.

Bob

Bob i think its the time of year,
i suppose to have been carving Christmas ornaments,

but my desk is covered in 3" & 4" hound dogs,, since i bought 5 tom wolfe books , all i seam to get done is another dog rough cut ive already give away 4 rough cut outs to carvers i wont see again till after Christmas, and i spent yesterday making knives out of pin files along with transferring some more dog patterns to blocks, still no work on the ornaments,

im sure im gonna get a scolding from jim oh and tom h for wasting my time on the dogs, but the truth is after messing up so bad on marc g's orniment in this issue i think i just needed a break,,,

keep the chips flying its all relevant i think..

I love your Peter Rabbit series. The penguins are so cute. Looks like you have been busy. Great job on them.

You must have done every type of carving there is out there Bob. I'm stuck on faces but I enjoy them. When I think I'm getting them right, I'll start bridging out like yourself. Those are fine carvings.
