Hi, I finished this project and and all my problems with the horns and the fur seemed to work out ok. I did have a problem with the finish not drying and dialed the number on the can. I guess i wasn't supposed to use spar urethane over burnt umber and mineril spirits, but it finaly dried after 2 days. Any comments good or bad welcome. alblum 2 below Feb

Great look you gave him Feb. The headress and horns add a nice touch...something I would like to try. Your getting very adept at carving NAs. Have you considered some western style carvings...besides the bushman you have carved? Patrick |

Patric thankyou for your coments. I'm not sure what you mean by western style , do you mean like a cowboy bust or caractures in a small setting, something like lynn does. Feb

Feb, I'm thinking more like what Jeff Phares has in his book. I believe you have his book as I see a pattern you have carved (NA Indian with a critter on his head) in your gallery. It's more like cowboy style carving I am thinking about. Patrick Quote:

Feb, Very nice carving, the face has a fantastic stern look about him and the size of his buffalo head piece is just perfect, great carving well done. Bill
