| | Re: Buck Mtn man carved in oak~ Darn TN... You done out did yourself! Outstanding! They're going to start calling you "Grandpa Moses"! We use to pass this old two story 1930's house on TN 68 in Farner that was falling down. Passed it for years without thinking twice about the old wood that was in it. Finally the one trip that I thought that it might be neat to stop and pick up a couple of weathered planks for woodburning or carving they done picked it up and hauled it away.... the whole house...lock, stock, and barrel! I couldn't believe it. No one in east Tennessee hauls away them old dilapidated house and barns. The only thing that I can think of is that someone sold it to a commercial outfit for decorative wood. The next time that I see an old house or barn I'm going to stop. You can bet your sweet bibby on that!

| | Re: Buck Mtn man carved in oak~ Forrest...since I'm a fan of yours, I sure can't let this one go by. He's wonderful...and your painting brings so much life to your carvings! It amazes me that you have any hands left at all, carving the kinds of wood and cranking them out the way you do! Bonnie | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
