Hello I am a fairly new carver, and I need HELP. What should I do about bubbles on my carving after clear coating? Also why did this happen?

What type of clear coating? On paint, bare wood, or some other pre-treatment?

What type of wood? What did you use to finish? Did you use a sealer? Did you use a brush or a foam applicator?

If you give us a bit more information, we might be able to help.

Claude

Dampness, heating the clear coat while its drying. Moisture in the wood, spraying too much clear coat on at one time. Sand it with 220 grit, wait a bit and give it another coat.

After you stir polly and other finishes they need to sit for a bit before you apply, other wise you get bubbles. That's what floor refinishers do. Not sure if that's what caused your bubbles ??
