Default Bringin in the tree

I started this just before Christmas last year and have been working on it off and on since, Finally got it done!
In the original pattern from the magazine there was a dog, but mine ran off chasing rabbits!
What do you think?

Jim

Thanks Guys,
The pattern is in the Holiday 2009 issue #28.
I carved it in red oak and gave it a Tung oil finish.

That's a great piece, Jim. I have to say that my favorite part of it is the tree in the foreground. Did you do all that work with edge tools?

The red oak is beautiful. Great carving and great finish.
