Default Bobby Bear

Hi all, hears alittle bear i carved from a step by step by Lynn Diel. I changed a few things to make it look a little more realistic. The bear is basswood finished with shalac and feed & wax The stump is buternut finished with shalac and dark paste wax. He is named after the country singer. It was a fun project. Comments welcome.

Hey Feb! That's one sassy little bear. Great expression, and well carved/finished. Tom H

Tom, thanks. I wasn't sure what i wanted to do as the original carving was like a Mike Shipley bear and I didn't want it to be that comical so I went with the clear finish.

If you were going for cute, I guess that's how I would describe this latest carving of yours Feb. And I see from one of the photo's that you have him skiing down a hill!
