This is my second attempt at a realistic female. It is from the Ian Norbury book. It is also one of the few carvings I ever sanded and the second thing I tried out of walnut. It is from a 3x3 block and finished with antique oil.

I too, thought she was larger. The profile shot especially is a very good view of the carving to me. Thanks for showing it.

Very well done with a nice oil finish. I, too, thought she would be larger then 3 x 3.
What is the plan for the third attempt ?.

Very well done Joe. Looking at that one has to bring a big smile. Very well done. I also would have guessed it to be larger than 3"x3".
