No, it's not really, it's a pig's tail! I just finished carving it and I thought....this is definitely the weirdest thing I've carved yet, so I was wondering, what's the weirdest thing you've carved?

A conduit bender and a pair of lineman's pliers for an electrician Santa for a fellow electrician who was retiring.

I haven't been doing much for about 2 1/2 years and a couple of days ago I started a new Santa. It's looking pretty weird.

For those of you who are old enough to remember "Li'l Abner", schmoos were Al Capp's take on the burgeoning welfare state, cute little critters that lived in the "Valley of the Schmoon." They had been relegated there by some sort of decree and were unable to escape. Abner's son, Honest Abe Yokum, found them and brought them back to Dogpatch, where they multiplied and provided everything a person could need. They gave milk, laid eggs,and if you were hungry they dropped over dead, providing both pork chops, beef steak, and all sorts of meat cuts. Their hides made wonderful shoes and coats and even their eyes could be used as buttons.

They actually looked like a bowling pin with legs. I'll see if I can dig this guy out. gotta be careful though, as they made folks totally dependant on them.
