| | Beware a bunch of seniors with chainsaws Hi gang,
Well back to ST's bush again today with Bob we arrived at noon and carved for three hours and here is the result. Those little Red Max saws are the cat's meow. As you all know that I carve these tree's on commission. The last two days I have gone out to the bush with these two guys and I have never had so much fun in my life. We laugh and joke have a few Buds (After the carving is done). Out there in the woods with these two guys has given me a new look at carving. No pressure no expectations here is the tree do your thing. I found that my carving got better and the cuts were much easier because it was for fun and not profit. It is funny to see all the people stop because we are carving on a main road. Bob always asks them if they know who owns the property. Then he asks them if they think the owner will be angry. You should see the looks on their faces but they dont say anything. Mind you I wouldnt say anything to three ugly guys with chainsaws either. We always tell them after a while that Steve owns the bush. Just thought I would share day 2 The first picture is Bob with his carving (Whats bigger his beer or his keg) LOL. Second is ST's and the third picture is mine. The double spirit was just to do something different. It looks as if the lower spirit is saying get this guy off of my head he is too heavy. We had loads of fun cant wait to do it again.

| | Re: Beware a bunch of seniors with chainsaws I've never seen these done to live trees before. Do the trees survive after the carving and develop scars like the names people have carved into trees? Or do they die and then get cut down at a later date? |

| | Re: Beware a bunch of seniors with chainsaws Colin has carved many many live trees as has several others. Depends on how deep you carve. Thet do survive and live till they are either blown down, cut down or die .
I thik it is really nice that these three gentlemen, who are friends can carve together. Bet the stories were out of this world. |
