Default Bench Carving

I had made a post a while back that I was working on another bench with a carved backrest. Just realized that I hadn't posted a picture of it yet. Ended up painting parts of the bench because of a bad dark blemish in the wood that I didn't notice until I put a coat of sealer on it. I thought it turned out fine though. Any comments welcome. Pictures aren't that great I didn't have a chance to take any pictures it in the shop....got it finished at the last minute. It was donated to the church to which I belong and was raffled off to raise money for our building fund along with many other things. Winner took it home to Ishpeming, MI.

That was areally nice bench, Juhani. Only one thing wrong with it that I noticed......those folks from Ishpeming didn't drop it off with us on their way back home. And they must have come right past us, as US-2 is the ONLY road that gets there from your place in Minnesota. Not very thoughtful of them, do ya think?

hehehe

Very Nice work on the bench!

Hi Juhani,

Very good craftsmanship on the bench and very nice carving detail as well. The people who got it are indeed lucky.
