Jim-Iowa, Jim Im not really all that with my carvings nor my little stories,I see you are kinda new here on board,Ive told alot about some of my past carvings with a story or a poem, most times while Im carving a character is when I start thinking of story about what I was carving.

Besides sum of my 1st grade story wasnt right?? I spent 8 yrs in the 1st grade!! LOL I more than appreciate your nice compliments about my carvings and gald you enjoyed this story as well! I do remember someone at a party one night, said, show me your funny side?? I thought she said, show me your sunny side and I knew it was dark and the sun had gone down, heck I will just show her my mood! And I did!! Thks again,Jim.

Forrest

Forrest... You're sure giving your age away old friend.... first you throw in quotes from the Dick and Jane reader and then you start talking about powdered paints! That's going back some! Always enjoy your yarns! Great carving and paint job too!

P.S... Where was that one-room school house located, anyway?

Hey there Forrest, ya went and done it again, GREAT carving in a tough situation, you sure know how to make something happen where probably most of us would just pass, keep up the great work, we love seeing them.

Don't know how you do it, my friend! Once again, you've made a masterpiece out of something a lot of us would simply throw away or overlook. If I tried carving that knot, my hands would fall off...LOL You seem to really enjoy the challenge of other people's discards or some piece of junky found wood. Great job on this bear! Bonnie

Bonnie,I enjoy the challenge of creating things and using old found wood is just that. Its fun to me to try in carve something where you have to create it where it seems nothing good could come from it. If that makes sense?

Thanks as always my good friend for your good thoughts and comments!

Forrest
