Default BaseballBat Finished

It was the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Socks playing for the title in the last game of the year. The whole ball park was shouting for the Yankees with roaring cheers!

The game was tied at the bottem of the 9th ending with two outs! Tony Blue was walking up to the batters box but the coach called time Mr.Ump for he knew what he had to do??
Looking down the bench was Big Joe and he knew he could knock a ball unglued.

But Big Joe in last weeks game, pulled a muscle in his back siding into home base.Joe can you help us and bat,I'll try coach with the tip of his hat. Walking up to the batters box using his bat as a cane. The coach knew if Joe could get a piece of the ball he could knock it insane . Every one in the stands stood cheering so loud! JOE JOE!!! For they knew how far a hit from him would go.

Joe planted his feet as Whitie-No-Teeth for the White Socks rared back as he fired the ball over the plate,Strike one!!The crowd never stopped hollaring Joe thats alright, pick the one you like and sent it out of sight! Whitie slid a curve ball right over the plate and Joe fell down with a big swing,Strike two!! The stands got quite not knowing what to do.

Joe stepped back and pulled a chain he was wearing out and kissed the tinny cross then planted his feet, knowing with some help the Socks could be beat!!! As Whitie smiled,Joe got all his might into the ball and over the center fence it went for miles. For the socks Tubby Rae ran for the ball but the Yankees won when Joe hit that ball!

Three Yankee players ran to pick Joe up as they carried him around the bases but arriving at home plate Joe slid down kissing home plate on the ground. The Yankees won!! It was night and everyone said cause the ball Joe hit knocked out the sunlight! They say the ball was hit so far beyound the fence when it took flight it landed 3 miles down the street busting out a street light. How do I know all of this is truth? I still take out my cross to get me through!

This 34 inch old white ash{wood} Rawling bat was alot of fun to try to carve and painting it also. Hope you like it and as always your thoughts or comment are always welcome.

Thks' Forrest

The painting you have done really made your characters and baseball items jump off the bat. You will probably be taking orders once that bat gets in circulation. Very nice.

Dennis, this old ash baseball bat was tough carving plus painting it keeping off the uncarved areas around the players and other items took alot of time but I think it turned out ok. Im gald buddy you stopped to ck it out and thanks for your neat thoughts and your good comments about it.

Good luck on your 4th year of coaching!!!
Thks again Dennis,Forrest

Patrick,This is the only baseball bat I will ever carve and its being saved for my grandson.Id carved him a real hard baseball before and its in a glass box and this bat is hes also. His mother my youngest daughter in high school lettered in three sports so I know this little man will be into sports also.

Im gald Patrick you liked it and I appreicate your nice thoughts about it.
I also like your web site, your excellent carvings look great on it.

Thks again,Forrest

Forrest, you've really pulled it off this time, WOW, what a job ya did on that old bat, that to me is the best piece you've done in the year and a half I've been on here. It just tells a story that can't be beat. Well done my friend, well done.
