Default baseball...1906

Just finished this one.... just in time for the Tri Valley Wood Carving show in Pleasenton , calif.......... the research I did seem's that the umpire's stood behind the pitcher........in the early days of baseball.....got the idea when we went out to eat at...... Home Town Buffit....and they had a picture like this carving on the wall. ....( norman rockwell )..... told my wife....... I'm going to carve that..........so I did......here it is...

Most excellent...you have captured that "Watch this ...I'm fixin to invent the bean ball" look on both faces. Norman Rockwell would be proud of you. Good luck at the show, I believe you have a real winner there. Thank you for letting us enjoy it.

yes that was a Norman Rockwell painting......Home Town Buffets walls are covered with his drawings.........as you stand in line...you feel like a little kid....I'm going to carve that ....I'm going to try to carve this.....anyway..... . thanks every one..... for the nice comments
