Talking Bark woodspirit

It's been a while since my last bark woodspirit and the other day I found a nice hunk of bark in my large bark bin. Appears to be plains cottonwood bark, just under 13" tall and about 5" at the widest. I didn't know until it was too late but the pictures aren't very good and he is already on the way to my fathers office. Worked on him a little bit every day over the last 4 days and tomorrow I will see if I have another good looking piece of bark for another woodspirit.

I wasn't pleased with the way the finish came out, someone switched my cans or mixed two cans together I don't know yet but I do know is his face is way too dark. The bark had a few good sized rotted spots full of little grey mineral bits, those were heck on my tools and his right eye/left side of picture had one right through it, if the color had been right it should have shown up like a scar.

Very nice looking woodspirit! We all see things differently, but I like the darkness, very deep rich looking and also looks like he's been around for years, thanks for sharing.
