Default Baltimore Show

I had the honor of being one of the judges at the Baltimore Area woodcarvers show this weekend. This is not a big show by any means but a lot of really nice work. Sometimes when there is a lot of good work it makes judging hard. Met up with freinds I haven't seen in a while and made a few new ones ( one from this board). Just all in all a great time.

Wow.. that was fun looking at all those pictures. Thanks for showing them.

I have a question... What are the things a judge looks at on carvings?

Theres such a wide variety here in your pictures. There must be some general rule a judge has to go by?

I'm just curious.. I've not ever shown my carvings to be judged, and would be scared to.

I WENT TO THAT SHOW!!!

I sat with Goody for quite some time and had the greatest time. (Thanks for everything!)

I'm running short on time these days, but I'll have the pictures ready some time soon, maybe get a chance tonight to post a few...

What a great show, lots of VERY NICE people, and lots of excellent work... I certainly couldn't pick a favorite.

Thanks to those responsible for the show, and Decoycarve, for a great day!
