Default Ballet boot

Carving is a good therapy when I'm bored.
54 cms height. Norwegian pine.

About 60% done.

Nice looking carving so far. Is that done with power or by hand. Carving is good therapy anytime for me.

I have to agree with Robert. It looks good so far and carving is great therapy anytime for me too. Thanks for sharing your work in progress. Don't forget to show more later.

Thanks for your input. It's a bit of both. I removed excess wood with a power saw but carved the rounded shape by chisel. The sanding was - and will continue - by hand too.

Nice looking piece so far. With my warped mind it reminds me of the table lamp in the film A Christmas Story. sorry.
