Default Ball In Cage In a Cage with a Ball

Since I'm kind of new at this whimsy stuff so I really didn't know what else to call this one.

I'm about 80% done but I couldn't wait to show it off! It's basswood runs about 16" long - extnded. Not sure what I'm going to do with the bottom yet. I must say this project tuckered me out. My hands are soar as is my shoulder.

A big thanks to my long distance friend John "Woodshed" Starkey for getting me setup on this puppy. You can see his finished version in the gallery at Sliding Whimsy - Woodcarving Illustrated Photo Gallery .

I hope to finish up by the end of the week. Enjoy!

Yep, super cool Ken and I don't blame you one bit for wanting to show it off. Joe.

Ken, that is a lot of work but I know when it is done what pleasure you'll get seeing it all finished. Very cool. I love those type of carvings.

Ken, I love it. Glad it worked out so well! I didn't say it would be easy, wait, maybe I did say it was a piece of cake.... . It does look great! I didn't get any carving done this week end, got to wrapped up mowing, weedeating and bush-hogging.

Wow Ken, That would definitely take some time, but will be well worth it in the end. Looks like you have about got it whipped.
