Default Ball and claw

Anyone know where to find an online tutorial for carving a ball and claw for a cane topper? Still having a lot of trouble with eyes on the wood spirits on sticks, thought I might try a ball and claw.

You might go to a furniture store, maybe they would let you take a couple snapshots??

Hopefully this link works

If not go to Fine Woodworkings site. Carving Ball and Claws are actually pretty easy. However I have never done so for a walking stick.

I just tried the link. It looks like you will have to enter Ball and Claw for the search. When I did it I came up with 11 or 12 articles. Taunton archives are actually really good. I have orderd several.

Not really Callynne if he is like my wife she never reads these threads (at least I dont think she does). Like I always say though,
Behind every sucessfull man there is a woman,
nagging him every step of the way.

Cally:
I can actually be as brave as I like now. Every year we have been married my wife added a one inch link to the chain. I can now get 35 inches away and her swing is only 32 inches.

Thanks for the link Donna, that is a great site.
