Default Re: A bad day at work!

Goody....let me echo Lightningbolt's comments. Carving will relax and relieve you of some of the stress, even if just for a while. Concerning your employment difficulties, I too have been down that road when I was young, had a new family and trying to keep body and soul together. In my case it was a mine that closed....17 months I was out of work....you couldn't buy a job! After unemployment ran out, I did anything and everything to keep the family together and to survive.....painted houses, cut grass, built fences, .....and continued to carve! In my case it was ship modelling.....but some months I got lucky and sold one or two and put food on the table and kept a roof over our head. The carving saved my soul and the models sustained the body!

Years later, at the peak of my career, a car accident put a stop to it.....carving again played a role in my recovery. It was a year before I was able to pick up a tool, but slowly I regained my skills and can still carve. Slowly....yes, with difficulty....yes, but it has kept me from going crazy, or sort of! Talking

You too will survive this trial and become better for it.

Bob
