Default Bacon & Eggs

Back in Dec. We went to a auction in a little town near us. That night this tin reproduction sign with a pig and chicken came up to bid on. My wife really liked it and I started the bidding but every time I bin a certaim amount of money someone behind me would out bid me till finally I let that person have it as my wife pinched my leg and said, thats too high.

It had Ham and Eggs,we eat more bacon so I added it to the base which is 4 3/4 inches long, the pig from his snout to his tail is 6 1/4 inches, the chicken is 1 1/4 inches. The pig is carved from a scrap of knotty pine board and the chicken is carved from bass wood and all are painted with acrylic paints. Tonight after supper I will suprise my wife with it for she really liked the tin sign.

Your thoughts or commnts are always welcome.

Thks' Forrest

Forrest, OK! I like it, but please refrain from describing this carving as a "simple" thing. When in reality it's a complex piece of Americana, hand crafted in the mountaines of Tennessee by an accomplished woodcarver and folklore artist.
