Aw, thanks, you guys.....and thanks to Rick for entering my piece in the first place!! I had no idea until my phone rang, with Art & Dorothy telling me I had won a first place ribbon! What the? Huh? Whu? Of course, we headed down to the show, where I immediately smacked (and then HUGGED) Rick for deciding to enter my carving. Then the other ribbons started showing up, and well, I'm not even sure it all really happened....I'm still overwhelmed with alot of emotion at the sheer outpouring of love and acceptance I felt wrap itself around me in that room. No kidding - I know it sounds sappy, but that's exactly how it felt. I'm really honored....to have friends like Rick & Theresa, and Art & Dorothy, and so many others, who love me enough to sometimes do what's good for me, in spite of me. Ribbons, schmibbons....this new family is my true prize.
