My wife just finished her 'baby bird in a bag' No.2, its in picturetrail in 'fowl album' lol! She likes to 'rush' around and get one of these done every year or so! LOL
Hey Dave -- tell your wife 'Congratulations !! Keep up the good work'.
For you ..... well, keep up the work. Just kidding - the duck looks great. What a lot of time and effort. I'm impressed !!
Have you checked out the Decoy Carving Forum?
Al...the baby bird is carved from a basswood egg, and Nancy, no I haven't seen the decoy forum...have been on the birdcarvers online forum...is that the same?
Dave - the Decoy Carvers Forum is http://decoycarvingforum.com/
It's one of those places you have to register to even see the photos but it's free, fast and easy.....and well worth it. You know I've never carved a duck but collect them --- this is one of my very favorite sites on the 'net.
You can post a photo and ask for criticism and some real experts will steer you in the right direction.
