Hello all! Today I was reading the thread "From the heart" and this post form the boy's father, William. Below is the link, please read it if you havent. http://woodcarvingillustrated.com/fo...40333#poststop Anyway, I had an idea (dangerous things, ideas!) I sent a message to "beebee58" his dad and asked if I could send his son one of the Santa Ornaments that I have been doing, kind of as an encourgement from this carving family and maybe as encourgement for his new found carving skills and progress. I also asked him if it would be alright to post here and see if there are others in this carving community who would like to send an ornament to his son also. So here's the pitch, how about anyone reading this post, carving and sending two ornaments ( William has two sons, Clayton and Erick). I have seen the compassion and kindness of the people here and I think this would mean a lot to a young man and his family that are really going through some serious and hard times. Williams (beebee58) address is on his profile page here: http://woodcarvingillustrated.com/fo...hp?userid=3417 If you are interested get the adress and send the carving! Humbly, GaryMc Talking

Gary, Anna and I will get two done this weekend and get them out to them. In all the hustle and bustle of losing a job finding another and filling orders, I sometimes need a kick in the butt to notice the simple more important things in life. Thanks for that Kick, Goody

I'll send a couple in a few weeks. I actually have them done, but may put one of them (or both) in a show this month..... will send them out as soon as it's over. Better yet, I may just do another for the show and send these sooner! |

Gentlemen, *bows very low* Your kindness, and thoughtfulness is beyond words. I can truthfully say I am very humbled by your gifts. I am sure that this will be a very blessed holiday season, for those young men. One they will forever remember. Garry |

Thanks Mitchell, BoBD and Ashby for the help in this project. I hope many more will step up to the plate and send them ornaments, I would love to see them have enough to fill their Christmas tree this year. Maybe that would help them deal in someway with what they have to deal with. If it is a matter of patterns to carve if any would let me know I have many patterns for Christmas simple and ornate.
