What kind of opportunities, carving shows? If so look in the back of WCI, or the link to the left that says calendar of events.

I was referring more to in woodcarving studios Woodcarving shops etc

Dave, here's a link to the Porcupine Mountain Artist in Residence program. Sorry but this year's sessions are filled, but the application for next year (2012) is open.
The "Porkies" are on the western end of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, just west of Ontonagon, north of Wakefield and east of the Ironwood/Bessemer area. It sits along Lake Superior's shore and is nestled in an inalnd rain forest.
