Default Article featuring our own Teri Embrey

Hey Teri,
Awesome article (and even more awesome santa) that featured your unique and georgeous santa carving. When I got my Carving magazine today and immediately sat down in the sunshine to thumb through it, it opened to your santa--even before I went back to see who did it, I just knew you were the artist. What talent!

Congratulations on being featured. Thanks for sharing that talent and expertise with us. You go girl!!!

Colin - Teri's article is in Carving Magazine http://www.carvingmagazine.com
email editors@carvingmagazine.com
It's really a great article. I'd offer to scan and email it to you but it's 5 full pages.
If you can't find the magazine in Canada I bet you can special order one from their web site.

Colin,
It's Carving Magazine, Issue #4, Oct 03. It's the new magazine, started this year, that the Whillocks put out. I don't usually get subscriptions for several days after they are mailed. The cover is a carving by David Sabol--and I've got him for a 4 day seminar in Missouri in October. So I'm psyched. An article about Teri and her carvings and one about David. www.carvingmagazine.com is the website for the magazine.
Hope you can find it.

Congrats to Teri.

I get that magazine and my Dad gets this magazine. We trade. Does anyone feel guilty talking about our host's competition?

Thanks to WCI for hosting us here.

Hi Colin ( and any other Canadian carvers out there). The Carving Magazine IS here in Canada, it just might not be out here quite yet. Sometimes we get ours a few days after they hit the newsstands in the U.S. I spent last weekend with Teri carving at Reasons to Believe in Kirkland, Wash. She is a wonderful lady, and a fantastic talent. You should also check out the new Better Homes and Gardens 'Santa Claus' magazine that is out now. There is an article on Reasons to Believe. This store is FANTASTIC!!! All they sell is Santas of every size and shape. Probably the only store in the World like this. If your ever in Kirkland, Wash, ( just Northeast of Seattle) then make sure you pop in and check it out. You can also find them at www.reasonstobelieve.com. Enjoy, Dave
