Default Apple wood wolf charm

We went and saw the movie Friday and enjoyed the movie Twilight.

My wife sees me carving so many wolves so last night I thought Id carve her a special one. Two yrs ago,she took me to a old apple orchard in the high mtns that her grandfather had taken her too when she was a young girl. The home place was all gone but in a small stone building near the creek we found thier cold shed, they called it. They stored vegs and other things to keep them cold in it.

Inside I found this old stump, course after drying it in my wood bin and later cleaning it,Ive carved several carving from it. Beautifull grains in this 100 yrs old apple wood.I had a chip of it on my desk. Thought Id carve it for my wife.

I carved it for a necklace, its 1 inches and the other wolf carved from maple is 3/4 of a inch and its fur is stained.

Thought Id share theses plus I want to thank all the people thats contacted me wanting some of my carved wolves.Plus thank everyone for thier thoughts and support here on our board.

Thks again,Forrest

Hi Forrest,

From your description, it must be a winner. But I still wouldn't mind seeing it.

What a great gesture Forrest.
Great treasure to find (the stump) as well. I find myself looking at every pile of lumber, clear cut, bushhog i go by.

Hey Forrest, "thanks buddy" man, I can't wait to knock off 2 or 3 dozen and take 'em to a show and sell them for big bucks with tickets on them sayin "carved and designed by Tucker" the greatest woodcarver around. LMAO, I'm only kidding of course, great little carving my friend.
