Default An apology from Colin

Hi Gang,
I just wanted to apologize for really not being here on this message board as much as I used to be. Life for me is really busy I have so many commissions that I can hardly keep up with them. Along with that I look after my grandson's a lot of the time and now they are out of school it is even more busy. I used to answer just about all the threads at one time but now I find by the time I get home at night all I want to do crawl into my bed and rest these weary bones. I just thought I would let you know that I do read most of the threads but there are so many I dont always have time to comment or aswer them all. I do respond if I think I can help though and will continue to do so. I do think of you guys often and how much you have helped me in the past and the friendships I have made because of this message board. I will try to be more active but this is my really busy season. Only two more months until old age pension but I really dont feel like a senior yet there is so much more in life I need to accomplish and do.
Colin

Colin my friend I am just glad to see you back to carving. I know how busy you can get and how short of a summer you have to work with. It will be winter before you want and it will slow somewhat for you. Take care my friend and we are always glad to hear from you.

I can relate, I have taken a number of commision jobs that start tomorrow. I estimate that every free day and 1/2 day will be consumed with these jobs until September. With a full time job I wonder what I have done. Hope it is still FUN in September when I am done.

Welcome back.

Greg

Sorry Colin, we can't accept your apology. There is no excuse for not making us the center of your world! (Only kidding.......you're forgiven!)

Enjoy the time with your grandsons and old age will never set in. Never know who gets more excited about summer vacation, my son or my stepdad. Continue to ignore us, we'll still be here but summer won't. Enjoy!

Colin,
Look forward to seeing all you will accomplish while the weather is good, but can certainly wait awhie. It will probably make your work even more fun to look at when the only chance of seeing leaves on the trees will be looking at your posts! Take care, be safe, and thanks for sharing you work.

Good to see you posting again Colin. We all seem to go through stages where we increase or decrease our on line activity, connected to whatever else is occuring in our lives. That is one of the many nice things I enjoy about this forum, it's always here when I have the time and makes few demands if I don't.

I am happy to hear you are getting to spend time with your grandson. I am sure that he values that time with you now and will value that time even more when eventually you're gone. (not for many more years I'm sure)

Try not to take on more than you can handle son! Life is to be savored, and enjoyed, so don't overload your plate so you don't have time to smell the wood chips. Carvings like you do, especially that beautiful huge last multi-faced piece, attract a lot of attention and increase the demand for more, so pace yourself and take time to enjoy yourself, it's suppose to be fun!!! Smile

All the best,

Bob
