Yes, I have it. Great book. There is a video that goes with it. I carved Oskar with the help of that book.

Anything by Harley Refsal is worth having. He is a great talent and a wonderful instructor. I took a class by him, have his books and recommend him highly. .

I carved mine from a roughout that I ordered from Pinewood Forge but the pattern is in the book. My Oskar is about 6 1/2" tall, 2 3/4" wide, and about 2" front to back. I would also encourage you to get the video. It is very well made and I did my first Refsal carving of Karl Oskar using that. The video is called Figure Carving Scandinavian Style.

I have the book, and would give it a top rating for flat plane carving. Good instructions and pictures.

I have that book too, its great. Lots of patterns after the Oskar tutorial. What I do to fit the size of wood that I have is to copy the main outline of the pattern onto paper, then reduce or increase the size of the pattern using a copier machine (in my case I use my all-in-one HP Fax Machine), after that transfer the pattern onto the wood for cutting the blank. Safe carving to you.
