Was just having a look on Amazon and came acrooss this book. I was wondering if anyone had it and if they thought it was anygood. Yes, I have it. Great book. There is a video that goes with it. I carved Oskar with the help of that book.

Anything by Harley Refsal is worth having. He is a great talent and a wonderful instructor. I took a class by him, have his books and recommend him highly. . Christina |

I would also recommend the dvd . I have all three of his books and the latest is no1 on my wish list

I have the book, and would give it a top rating for flat plane carving. Good instructions and pictures.

I have that book too, its great. Lots of patterns after the Oskar tutorial. What I do to fit the size of wood that I have is to copy the main outline of the pattern onto paper, then reduce or increase the size of the pattern using a copier machine (in my case I use my all-in-one HP Fax Machine), after that transfer the pattern onto the wood for cutting the blank.
