Jax....tried that once, but for some reason they get all upset when you pull out a knife in the waiting room! Damm....they must get a lot of complaints there to make them that nervous!

Talking Re: Are any of you like me?

Hey Colin,
been there done that, a nurse friend of mine got some suture needles for me so if it's to big i get to practice needle point.
Last weekend i was carving with my oldest grandson and one of his cousins(on the in law side) all three of us had on kevlar gloves on. the two kids both got "stab" cuts through the gloves. then i was talking them through some different carving styles and grabbed a knife to demonstrate and ooops! not bad but a good bleeder.
They really gotta kick outta the old man who preaches safety to them getting cut.

Guess I am gonna have to try the New Skin
I have used super glue and it does work
I use lots of Bandaids (think I used enough to own stock in the company)

I have had cuts in the past that required stitches.
Never had a cut that bad carving so far.
My bad cuts that required stitches happened in industry
and 1 with a limb saw cutting firewood

I admit that most of the time, I do not wear the glove, and usually end up with a a couple minor cuts. I do wear the thumb guard as I do have a tendency to pull the knife in right hand toward my right thumb
