Default Answer to my prayers

Howdy folks,

Lately I've been posting looking for non-video versions of some of the classic beginner patterns – 3 minute owl, 5 minute wizard, face in a pencil, etc. It turns out Foxchapel did all the work for me.

I found at the drug store (not the book store, which was odd), the 'Whittling' magazine they published. It has all the basic concepts with terrific explanations and photos, as well as some great bits on knives, cuts, sharpening and so on.

Had I known this was out there, it would have saved me a ton of time earlier on. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants an easy reference for some of these beginner-novice projects.

Also, I didn't post this in publisher feedback because I'd been posting on this thread about finding those patterns.

The magazine hasn't been on the shelf very long. I just got one last Saturday at the North Platte Nebraska carving show.
It is a great reference and full of fun projects.
Have A Great Day
