Default Ansell HyFlex 11-501 Foam Nitrile Kevlar Stretch

ok followed the thread and those gloves seem good, but here is the question, first it looks like you have to buy a pair so what do i do with the left handed glove? i suppose sell it to a right handed carver lol. also how long might they last? some of the other carver gloves i have purchased are good, but wear out pretty quick. if i have to buy a pair and am stuck with the left handed glove, (im left handed so i wear a glove on the right) i would send it to a deserving right handed carver, yes im easy. lol

Now you tell us!!! I ordered that pair and another pair that are supposed to be a little more flexible. I should get them Monday or Tuesday. I'll report back.

I use mine to deliver mail with. I guess that's one good thing about being a mail carrier.
You CAN buy single carving gloves at various outlets.

Maybe you could sell it in the classifieds section, or donate it to a carving club.

Thanks,

I ordered those gloves on January 11. I still didn't get them so I tried to call. Their number didn't work. I emailed them and got a response that they would be sent out today. Pretty bad sevice!

Well my gloves finally arrived on the 29th. Two and a half weeks. They told me at least three times that the gloves were going out that day. I will not use that company again.

I bought a pair of Ansell Hyflex 11-51 foam nitrile kevlar stretch armor cut protection gloves and a pair of Superior S13FGFNT dyneema cut resistant gloves with foam Nitrile palms. The Ansells were $13.50 and the Surerior were $9.65.

The Ansell ones are the blue ones, the Superior ones are black.

Both are large size and they both fit my hand very well. No extra space at the end of the fingers. The Superior ones were supposed to be a little more flexible but I think the Ansell ones are. I’m even typing with the Ansell on.

I haven’t used a glove to carve in a long time and was wondering how they would feel. After a few minutes of using them, I didn’t even notice they were there.

So far they are very comfortable. I’ll just have to see how they feel this summer when I’m carving outside for a couple of hours in the Texas heat.

I’m only talking about my left hand (I’m right handed). I tried using the right glove to hold my knife… No Way. That just doesn’t work. You just can’t move the knife around at all.

I think both pair will do an excellent job and would recommend either of them but buy them from someone else.

Lots of Kevlar gloves on eBay. Also check glovesonline.com. And type in Kevlar stainless in their search bar.
