Default Another Xmas gift done.

Wood is White Pine from back yard, 3.5"x24", finished with 3 coats of Shellac, Watco Dark Wax, and Feed-n-Wax. Grand Daughter said that is all she wanted for Xmas and she would be satisfied. Boy she was easy. Ha,Ha. The mark in right eye is an ant hole, the limb was a home to a lot Ants. I think it gives the piece character, I hope. Merle

Hi Merle, great job on the gift for your grand daughter. The spot you referred to does add character to the piece, to me, he looks as if he's shedding a tear.

Another nice one! I am working on a face just about like that, sort of from a Shawn Cipa pattern in one of Irish's books. I like the finish you put on it.
