This is an unabashed endorsement of the two suppliers I've dealt with......Woodturner's catalog and Schlabaugh and Sons. I notified both of these folks via email when the bubble in the compass was noticed and they immediately sent me a replacement. No questions, no problem and prompt replacement. There ARE still good suppliers around!

If you do order a liquid filled compass, make sure to ask that they check for bubbles before shipment, but both these firms have told me they will advise their shipping people to check for bubbles from then on.....still I'd ask them to check!
