Default Another historical reproduction

Here is another carving that I have done for my historical reenactments. It is a copy of a wooden pipe bowl that is a copy of an artifact collected in Detroit ,MI. area in 1790's .This one is in the Thaw collection. There is another similar pipe that was collected in the same area that is in the Jasper Grant collection in Canada. My pipe is carved in maple and is the same size as the original. The bowl of the pipe is inlayed and lined with pewter. Thanks for looking.

That's a neat pipe, Don. I like the idea of carving a copy of an historic artifact. It helps understand the how they made such things back then. Thanks for sharing.
