Default Another finished Bark carving

Just finished "Moses". It is 10 X 6 X 5 inchs. Plains Cottonwood bark. Typical of my face carvings, long beard. Again, commentswelcome, good or bad.

Edit this as the picture did not process but is in the Gallery.

Thumbs up Re: Another finished Bark carving

Nice work! I have often wondered how to get started with carving Biblical characters and you've given me a bit more to chew on. (no pun intended) Smile

I like the twisted effect of the lower mustache which adds a little unique flare. Thanks!

Colin, You are almost correct. I wait 35 years to carve when I wanted to and as how long. I have been busy plus several tripswith carving time during trips.
Another little carving but this is a Buisness Card holder. Trying to use up all of the bark. This one broke off of a carving I was completing so it just became a Card Holder and gave me the idea to carve more. The cards in it are my little brides and mine and display in the Gallery we have our carvings in now. That was one of the trips we took. They only sell Kansas produced products or otherwords Kansas made and they perfer home made so the Plains Cottonwood Bark carvings was a fit. Don't believe I will get rich and really the money isn't what I am after. Our walls can only take so many carvings before they start to slate out at the top. Wink
Thanks again for the kind words.
