Default Another easy bear~

Ive been looking through my cut off wood scraps that I had left from back in the fall when I started carving some bass wood. Just scraps of different shapes.

Carved this bear-head bust this afternoon,I only used stains to color him with plus some neutral wax shoe polish to give him just a little shine. Hes carved in the middle of the block, not off a corner.

Hes 1 1/2 X 1 5/8 inches. Hope soon,I can move on to bigger carvings butttttttttttttttttt Im still working on honey-do's and working in a little carving time also.

Yours thoughts are welcome..thks Forrest

Forrest, ol' friend....he is a "honey", but so sad looking! Looks like somebody got to his honey-stash before he did! Your eyes are amazing. I am working on a little bear right now and my face stinks. I have such a hard time with faces, and yours are always so full of expression.....and the eyes are incredible. I love this little bear-head......Bonnie

It is a very nice carving. The depth of the eyes make him come to life. Hope you're feeling better.
