What's to critisize??? That is a fine carving for a great cause and obviously done from the heart. Couldn't be a better gift than that my friend. I assume the two crests are real family crests? Not that it matters at all mind. Great job, well done. Joe.

I hope they are real, I did some research I found out family names may have several different crests the trick is finding the oldest and/or coolest.

My only criticism is you are more than 5 months late! Man, those are beautifully done crests. There is really nice symmetry in the elements: by that I mean that all 3 of the stars and all 3 of the birds are very similar. Well done.

the reason it was late was due to Army stuff, also I underestimated the time involved(I wont make that mistake again....for a day or 2.

Please forgive my arrogance. I was not meaning to be critical about the timing, but you said that you wanted criticism and I could find none for such a beautiful piece. I personally ruined a piece that I was doing for my 26 year old daughter for Christmas, and she didn't get the actual gift until March. By that time, she had forgotten that I was working on something for her, and she was thrilled with the piece. I am sure that your folks are/will be thrilled with this project. I know that I would be.
